Tianjin Experimental High School began research on psychological health of students in 1989.

IIn the past ten years, we have established an education pattern called ¡° All-round education pattern for psychological health of students¡±. All the teachers and students participate In the pattern, and it is carried out everywhere and it serves for all the teachers and students. This pattern was appraised ¡°the leading level on national scale¡± by psychologists and educationists, and won science achievement. Specially the item studies won Tianjin science and technology Progressive prize. Tianjin Education committee once sent the document to promote achievements of psychological education for students by Tianjin Experimental High School. Tianjin Experimental School was evaluated as advanced unit for psychological science application and popularization; our school was evaluated as national psychological health advanced school by ¡° China Education¡± and Teenager Psychological Health magazine. Almost 200 people have exchanged thesis and research achievements in district, city nation level seminars, published more than 30 thesis in city level publications and published 8 monographs. District and city level education administrative department held on-the-spot meetings in our school. CCTV, TJTV, Guangming Daily, China Education, Tianjin Education magazine, Moral Education, Tianjin Daily have made feature reports about it many times. In 2005 Tianjin Experimental High School was evaluated as ¡°Demonstration Base of Teenager Psychological Health¡±. The development of psychological development in our school is the process of improving concepts, consummating equipment and developing functions.

In the 1980s psychological education in school emerged. We began to focus on how to satisfy the psychological needs of students when solving their problems. And we pay attention to the psychological features of students of different ages in educational activities. We set up psychology consultation room for students to give them help, especially help them to solve their psychological puzzlement and problems.

Psychological education in School has developed fast since 1990s. Teaching and administrative staff began to realize the importance of psychological education and pay attention to student psychological health.

Facing whole staff we started the training program, strengthened the sense of psychological education, and raised many advanced psychology counsel specialized teachers. 14 of them has finished graduate students developmental psychology course. There are specialists to do the psychological work in school. The counsel to students developed from individual counsel to association counsel. Besides, we have organized many kinds of activities and constructed specialized curriculum pattern. The counsel objects include not only students but also parents. We give family psychology counsel by Parents' School activity. The goals of our work is clearer. We have made psychological health of students program. We finished ¡° Nine Five¡± national key topic and published psychological counseling document and psychological counseling class teaching materials. ¡°All-round education pattern for psychological health of students¡± was evaluated as the leading level in the country by experts.

In 21 century psychological health education in school moves towards deepening and innovation period. We fully displayed the functions of class instruction, did research on conformity of psychological health and discipline education, published two monographs, the research achievement won the first prize in Tianjin Elementary Education Achievement. The related achievements have won prizes many times.

The equipment is more consummate. The 400-square ¨Cmeter psychological health service center has been set up. It has rich books and references, specialized consultation room, association

consultation room, the behavior training room, the mood adjusting room. This first-class equipment ensures that we can do scientific and standard psychological health education.

We organized ¡°Psychology Festival¡± creatively. All the students enthusiastically participate in this activity. Psychology science is further popularized and students' independency is freely displayed. In the sunlight of ¡° Protecting minds, caring grows¡±, the students grow healthily.
