This Main Statue is made up of two large pieces of iron cuboids that support each other and make a shape of the Chinese character for ¡°person¡±. The statue shows the people-foremost teaching concept of our school: teachers and students work together, supporting each other, and all are for the students in order to develop them into persons of good qualities; the two pieces of iron cuboids can also be considered as two books: one is teacher's book that helps teachers to fulfill their duties, and the other is student's book that contains all that they should learn at school.
The 12 tall pillars here are named ¡°the Milestone Pillar¡±, for each of them is engraved with one of the big events that happened during the over 80 years' history of our school. We erected such pillars to honor the forerunners of the school, to inspire ourselves, to educate our posterity.
